They didn’t hand out badges for this “police action”.
In the predawn hours of June 25th, 1950, inside the deep mountain valleys and foreboding coastal regions of Korea, the uneasy peace between world powers was trampled by the boots of invading communist forces. Under the threat of nuclear armageddon, the screams of two million people would be snuffed out by some of the most terrible weapons that man had ever created. World leaders applied every sort of leverage possible to achieve victory in a land that was considered by many to be more symbolic than meaningful.
A whole generation and the balance of world power would forever be reshaped by what was initially described as nothing more than a “police action”. This is the story of that terrible conflict as seen through the eyes of a deck sailor on board a U.S. minesweeper as they cleared the way for our nations last great amphibious landings.
To promote this book I am traveling the country visiting military museums and producing YouTube documentaries telling the incredible, harrowing and important stories of the men and women who fought for this country. Bellow is a small sampling of future content.

Maritime Museum – San Diego
The year is 1542 and the galleon, San Salvador, under the command of Juan Rodriquez Cabrillo has just become the first European vessel to explore the rugged and unknown coastline of North America. Step back in time and aboard this highly accurate representation of the historic vessel that endured a journey so difficult and tragic that half of it’s crew was unable to survive the voyage of exploration.
USS MIDWAY
Midway’s first combat deployment came in 1965 flying strikes against North Vietnam. Midway aircraft shot down three MiGs, including the first air kill of the war. However, 17 Midway aircraft were lost to enemy fire during this cruise.
In 1990 Midway deployed to the Persian Gulf in response to the Iraqi seizure of Kuwait. In the ensuing Operation Desert Storm, Midway served as the flagship for naval air forces in the Gulf and launched more than 3,000 combat missions with no losses.
